Outstanding kitchen! I spent a night this week at the Ciao Stelio hotel and had a delectable dinner at the Enigma, not really knowing what to expect. The linguine carbonara with bacon and mushrooms was amazing. I should have probably blanched the bacon before in order to remove some of the smokineds and to resemble more the flavour of pancetta. Outside Italy there is a tendency to mix in an illicit dollop of fresh cream but this version was authentic with a sauce of only a little bacon fat, eggs and parmagiano cheese. The chef knows exactly how to prepare this emulsion in order to create a silky texture with no hint of raw egg. The thinly sliced mushrooms are not a traditional component but they seemed a natural fit. My only "buts" are 1) the portion size is enormous. After eating the complimentary vegetable soup I could only manage to get down 1/3 of the pasta before I had to send up the white flag of defeat---and 2) the pasta is served on a long white plate that means more of the pasta is exposed to the air thus allowing it to cool off prematurely and carbonara needs to be hot while eating. The result of the quick cooling off is a slightly gluey consistency to the egg and cheese emulsion which is not ideal. All in all flavours were spot on and pasta perfectly so dente. Such a simple classic as carbonara is so easy to muck into a dog's breakfast but the Enigma chef did a truly exquisite job. The preceding vegetable soup served on the house was also exceptional, very flavorful and smooth the shavings of parmagiano cheese and subtle herbs. Lovely warm breads were served with three dips including a herb pesto and a garlic cream. No room for dessert but what I could see others having looked impressive. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. Freshly made fruit juices, customary meats, cold meats and cheeses---I would use fresh camembert which can be easily cost effectively obtained at LIDL supermarket rather than the tinned variety. All the buffet items were of the highest quality, all selected ingredients and no cutting corners. I would offer real leaf tea in pots however and not Lipton tea bags when everything else is such high quality. The service staff at both meals were very efficient and professional. Bravos to all!

Fantastic taste and kind services I stayed just one night in Larnaka as transit, and visited this restaurant in my hotel. I had a seafood pasta, pork grills and Cyprus local red wine. All of them were fantastic and service was also very kind. Unfortunately it was lonely dinner, but I could be relaxed with nice cuisines, wine and friendly staffs.

Lovely meal to end our holiday We went her on Tuesday night. The food was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. We were given an amuse bouch on the house and it was a very pretty plate with a few tasters Then we were given some lovely sauce/dips with bread. The staff were lovely, very attentive but not overly so. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend its well worth a visit. The price for what you receive is very good value for money

Inspired Dishes of Exquisite Taste, Great Value! I was here at the Enigma Restaurant for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I had a dreamy experience, -another journey of discovery of flavours and textures! I was actually here to Taste and Comment on the whole experience as a Food Critic. The new Culinary Chef Kyriakos Marinou and his team of Cooks take the cuisine to another level. The atmosphere was perfect, intimate and glass-clinking, busy at the same time with not only residents of the hotel but locals too. RESTAURANT: (Open from 18:30pm – 22:00hrs). The Enigma restaurant is dedicated to culinary excellence and Fine International Cuisine. In glamorous interior, dining here was indeed a gourmet delight. The a la carte restaurant is open from 12:00 -22:00. MENU: (Set Menu choice) - €35.00 pp. which is reasonable for what you get! So, join me for a delicious tour through an amazing gastronomic experience! Amuse-bouche: We had an elegant and flavoursome starter to stimulate our appetite and was brought to the table by the Chef himself. This was a combination of Prawn, Ceviche Salmon & Calamari Head, served on bed of Lemongrass, Kourkouma Gell & Medium Sweet Lemon sauce. Nicely presented and tempting! Marinos, the Head Waiter (sommelier) seemed well aware of food and beverage and helped us choose the pairing wines. He was never missing and was there when we needed him, discreet and friendly. SOUP: We had the most delicious Beef Soup with Star Anise & croutons. Rich in texture with a sweet edge and nicely presented. MAIN COURSE: Out of three main courses on the menu, I had the Milefeuile Sea Bass with Cilantro Sauce Red Pumkin Ragout. Served with Seasonal veggies and Amandine Potatoes, a colourful dish full of flavour and taste and with a presentation that stood out. It is a dish certainly not to be missed! Another dish for ‘Meat Lovers’ this time and definitely worth trying is the Rack of Lamb. I had a few bites out of curiosity, - it was actually the dish my sister had. It was delicious, and nicely presented. The racks had deeply browned exterior and perfectly rosy interiors. The gin flavoring from the berries had a slightly turpentine-like finish and it was super yummy! Portions of both dishes were satisfying big. The third dish was Penne Pasta with Mushroom with a tempting sauce of Six Cheese Sauce. BEVERAGE: We paired our dinner choice with a Rose Lambrusco, a Red Cabernet and a Tsangarides Dry White. (Each at €5.00 per glass) The list encompasses Cypriot and European quality wines. DESSERT: The Lava Cake is by now almost a 'de riqueur' inclusion on high-end restaurant dessert menus. The presentation is truly artistic, while the cake’s centre was still runny and a bit warm with great taste and texture and we both loved it. It is accompanied by Vanilla Ice cream. SERVICE: Customer service was exceptional with professional attitude. THE GRAND BAR: The trendy and chic bar is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of bubbly or some cocktails, even a light meal. If you drop by in the evening it is the ideal spot to relax with friends over a glass of wine or champagne and enjoy some home-made canapé choices. TIP: Traditional English Tea is being served in the afternoons with pastries, freshly brewed coffee and a gourmet brunch on the weekends. IN ALL: From the style and ambience, the classy interior, to the delivery of unparalleled service and dedication to detail, every ‘Enigma dining experience’ is one to be remembered. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a Taste for the Good Life. Be sure to pre-book as I expect during weekends and holidays the restaurant to be fully booked.
